Welcome to Royal Virtual Air Force

Hello and welcome to Royal Virtual Air Force.

Thank you for taking an interest in RvAF.
We are a bunch of aviation enthusiasts that enjoy flying as part of a team. Using Microsoft Flight Simulator, along with various freeware / payware scenery and aircraft packages available, we follow the Royal Air Force’s structure, operations and procedures as close as we possibly can.

Everyone is free to join Royal Virtual Air Force. All you need is a legitimate copy of Microsoft Flight Simulator 9(2004)/X and the ability to do at least one flight every 30 days. Scenery and aircraft are provided where available.
We provide this service completely free of charge, all we ask is for a little bit of dedication in helping RvAF to grow! If you have any problems or questions, feel free to email a member of staff who would be happy to lend you a hand.

Feel free to look around our website. You can apply to become a pilot by clicking on careers on the main navigation bar or here.

Regards,

Stuart Lacey

New Pirep System

Sat Oct 04 2008, 07:42PM by Matthew Shield

Hello All!

A few of you may have noticed that you have not been able to view the website for the last couple of hours. Well the reason for this, is because I have been busy behind the scenes installing and setting up a new pirep system. Its a basic system, however it will do everything we need at the moment, and will hopefully be a bit more automated. I have entered all the pilot information into the system, but I havnt entered any of the old flight plans. The new system has only had a few tests run through it, so I have saved the old one just in case something goes horribly wrong!

If you spot any problems, or you have trouble signing in, please email me or Stuart and we will get the problem sorted as quickly as possible.

To log in to the system, follow the link under the banner then use your callsign that was given to you (RVFXXX) and the password that "should" have been emailed to you.. If the email has not been sent to you, simply request the password by typing your email addy that you used to sign up... Again, if you get a problem talk to a staff member and we will sort it out.

Good luck and happy flying!!
